Facebook, iPhone, Twitter and Android brought a revolution that changed the Tech game. The power of the gadget or platform got connected to the apps. Better the apps, better the business for the platform.

These companies did not do too much. They just opened their platform for the external developers to develop apps of their choice. This open system brought huge product and business innovation.apps on TV

Samsung now wants the developers to write apps for its TVs. This adds a new dimension to the application building business. And it makes good sense for the TV makers to think on this line; if developers can write apps (typical thought to be for PCs) for phone, then why not for TVs.

Future developments is sure to allow users to use Twitter, play games, go shopping, watch YouTube videos and even bid on eBay auctions all from the convenience of their living room TV.

Telegraph UK remarks about the probable change that such product brings saying, “In Britain, LoveFilm, the video rental service, will supply an app, allowing television viewers to download rented movies straight to their televisions, without having to wait for them to be sent through the post.”

Toshiba earlier showed the Super TV with more processing power than a desktop computer, which has real time 2D to 3D conversion Technology. LG, Samsung, Toshiba and Sony have unveiled Internet Connected TVs in the same event.

Earlier Skype, in association with LG and Panasonic, unveiled its plan to launch videoconferencing in the TVs. Similarly Cisco plans to bring its TelePresence High Definition Videoconferencing to the TV at Home.

Even though CES started with too many talks for Tablet PC and Smartphone, the real attraction has been the innovation in the Television World. So far Toshiba, LG, Cisco and Samsung are the top four innovators at the CES.
