Mozilla Firefox has been really busy from some time trying to give its users a more secure web browsing with security updates to its previous versions and now is all set with its latest Firefox 3.6 beta for download by its worthy users as it recently announces in the Mozilla blog .
Finally leaving the alpha status , the 3.6 version codenamed ‘Namoroka’ is loaded with host of new features that include:
1.) Improvement in handling Java Script thus facilitating a faster browsing experience. Use of 1.9.2 Gecko Engine provides faster
page rendering.
2.) Orientation detection of the device and changing positions of on screen data.
3.) Video built into Web pages with the HTML5 “video” tag now get full-screen view.
4.) Automated Plug-In Checker for outdated plugins. And so on….

Firefox 3.5 being a major release it has not been yet decided as to whether the Firefox 3.6 too will be a minor update or a major one like the former version. The difference between the two releases is that a minor update introduces few changes and aims to enable users to migrate more quickly with automated update notification while a major release follows different update mechanism that enables users to choose when to upgrade. .
Dealing with few Add-ons compatibility issues Mozilla states ,”At this time most Add-ons have not yet been upgraded by their authors to be compatible with Firefox 3.6 Beta. If you wish to help test your Add-ons, please also download and install the Add-on Compatibility Reporter .”
