Good sales for Windows 7.It beats Mac OS X in Market share

Windows 7, Microsoft’s newly launched operating system shows a good growth in market share.For the first month it surpassed the total market share for Apple’s OS X. This is really a surprise.

Taiwanese PC maker Acer also reported that Windows 7 has been positive for the company’s year-end PC sales.

“When we saw the features of Windows 7, we already knew that it would be good for demand,” Acer’s chief executive Gianfranco Lanci told reporters on Thursday. Acer said it expects 50 percent growth in the global netbook market to 42 million units in 2010.

It was found that approximately 5 percent computers logged on to the net on 21st of November,were running on Windows 7. In the first month of sale itself  its showing that Windows 7 is outselling Vista.

Internet metrics company Net Applications reports that Windows 7 on  last weekend powered around 5.07% of PCs, while in that week Mac OS X powered around 5% of computers worldwide.  World’s third largest PC maker Dell also attributed its spike in sales to the early success of Windows 7.

All the users are very happy with Windows 7, they are now getting the trust back from Microsoft. The growth in the market share brings back the smile on Microsoft’s face.
