Not long after the news of Microsoft and Twitter deal. Google also announced in its blog that they too have hit the deal with Twitter. This have brought all the leading players in search to new opportunities. Microsoft is now leading Google with its dual deal with Twitter and Facebook, whereas Google is still to partner with Facebook.
From Google Blog :
Given this new type of information and its value to search, we are very excited to announce that we have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in our search results. We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months. That way, the next time you search for something that can be aided by a real-time observation, say, snow conditions at your favorite ski resort, you’ll find tweets from other users who are there and sharing the latest and greatest information.
Though I found it quite interesting when Evan, CEO Twitter was recently asked about the deals with google and Mircrosoft, he kept kind of low on it.
JB: Search deals with Google and Microsoft?
EW: What deals? (awkward) Seriously though, we think third-parties can come up with great tools for people in the media.

With this new deal with the giants, twitter certainly have marked its placet. Now as the ice have broken between the parties, we will be seeing more better services from these companies in future.
