According to an article on Search Engine Land, Google seems to be gearing up for “Google Store Views”. So now when you see a store in Google Street Views, you might be able to click on the door, enter the shop and move inside the shop while sitting at home on your system. Incredible! isn’t it?

Barry Schwartz wrote in the report that he a retailer ‘Oh Nuts’ said that Google had visited the store and taken pictures of the shop.

I received a tip from a New York retailer named Oh Nuts, that Google came to their store to take pictures for a new Google Maps product named “Google Store Views.” I was told that they took pictures of the inside of the store, every 6 feet, in all directions. They also took pictures of products.

Now that sound impressive to me. I wonder if this comes under the radar of privacy watchers. Moreover I am actually thinking would this make life easier for thieves cause all they will have to do is have a good look at their computer screen before they go rob a store!
