Internet speed to die for, gadgets that could give Mr. Bond a run for money, cars with utmost sophistication or tech savvy resident who wouldn’t settle for anything compromising – what among these make a city hi tech? We live in the world of technology where people in love would rather get married in an Apple store than on the beaches of Hawaii.

Lets have a look at which cities of the world have managed to get to the top in terms of technology advancement.

1. Singapore

Singapore is a paradise for geeks. From gadget shopping to wireless connection, everything in this city is a dream come true for people admiring technology. All residents of this city have access to free wireless broadband and wired broadband speed is set to increase to 1gig a second in the coming year. Now thats serious hi speed. The kids here are taught to adopt technology early and schools use biometric systems to track attendance.

Their very own Singapore Airlines which has regular Flights to Singapore is one of the most hi tech airlines in the world.

2. Tokyo

Without a doubt Tokyo would be among the top hi tech cities. The city has it all from Robotic bike parking, world class public transport system to the most advanced gadgets. How can we not mention the Digital Toilets which have even managed to go online. The city is home to some of the big names in the tech industry including Sony. The crowd here has a flair for gadgets and the city definitely has a huge range to cater to its people’s taste.

The city is well connected and there are numerous flights to Tokyo from any part of the world. One of the most expensive cities in the world has, Tokyo offers a wide range of accommodation to fit your pocket. The technology aspect is quite evident even in the hotels in Tokyo.

3. Hongkong

Counting Hongkong among one of the most hi tech cities in the world should come as no surprise to anyone. Hongkong has been one of the early adopters of technology and boasts of first ever robots operated restaurants. Multiple Wi Fi zones, high speed internet are just few of the amenities this tech city has to offer.

This was one of the first few cities to have biometric systems installed in schools to track attendance. Hongkong is also one of the most favorite destination for gadget shopping. There are various Cheap Flights to Hong Kong operating from all over the world.

Seoul

South Korea has emerged as one the fastest growing country in terms of tech industries. With companies such as Samsung and LG, Seoul is a top contender in the list of hi tech cities of the world. Seoul is also a huge producer of online gaming most of which cater to the hugest gaming market, China. Such is the popularity of online gaming in the city that there is an online gaming course offered by Seoul University.

San Francisco Bay Area

This city is a landmark in the map of the technology world. SiliconValley could pass as the most pious and religious place for geeks since it was here that the microprocessor, microcomputers were first developed. Since the 70’s when Silicon chips were developed, city has continued to house few of the finest names in the electronics and computer world.

The city has ‘Connected Bus’ services with free WiFi touch screen maps. The flights to San Fransisco are always in high demand since technology geeks from all over the world come to pay homage to the city.

1gb per second in the coming year? In Tokyo and Korea they already have 1gbps -.-” Ok that was unnecessary. Anyways, Tokyo by most aspects is the most hi-tech city that rule the technology world. I’ve been to both Tokyo and Singapore and I’m saying this by experience not by some substance-lacking chart, list or poll.
