fish-worm-hookMost of us may have encountered the fraudulent emails. These emails generally encourage us to click some link in some way. These mails are in fact dangerous, and they mostly fish the banking and credit card details.

A very big group of people are involved in such works and are sophisticated. They either buy information like emails or collect it from web. One of them may already have your email and other information.  You got to be aware of it; you may be the next victim.

You may have received mail from some strange email address saying that “xxx person wants to send the sum of xxx million dollars from xxx Bank of Nigerian to your bank account and in return favor, xxx will give you 40% of it.“ To get it done, you have to click a link and do complete a form with your details and story begins.

Yesterday, I got a mail. It was from some strange Gmail address disguised to be an official mail from EBay. I was asked to verify my account by clicking some link. Thankfully I saw the sender email, and save myself.

There are many types of mail, but the principle is same. They give a link to click for some reason. Once you click it, it either attacks your computer with scripts (malwares) or shows a form to fill it. Once you fill it, their work is done. You give your critical information.

Be aware before clicking such links on your mail.

Here is one great video how phishing scam works:
