If  you have been using Microsoft Outlook or for that matter any popular email client you would have used the feature of clicking on the “To” button or “To” link next to the field,  you would get a a box similar to the box below, which helps you to add and remove multiple contacts fast and easy. This feature proves to be really helpful, for all regular mailers and is available not just for the “To” field, but also the “Bcc” and “Cc“ fields. Gmail always had the auto complete feature, which would predict the email id on the first few characters that we typed, but this was one feature which was missing and was not present even through the “Gmail labs” .

Now if you open your Gmail and click on the  “To” or  “Bcc”/”CC” link, while composing the email, you would get a pop-up similar to this,

This would let you easily chose and mail your contacts, much faster then the auto complete field. This is particularly helpful for people who use Gmail in Chinese, Japanese or Korean, being able to pick from your list of contacts should be particularly useful since auto-complete doesn’t offer the same search as you type experience that it does in other languages.

This feature already present in Hotmail and other mail clients, but yet again, Gmail has the Google Touch to it.
